Refund policy

At Dreaming Boy Technology we are committed to providing high quality products and services. In the event you are not satisfied with your purchase, this refund policy explains when we will give a refund.

General refund policy

We ask that you please choose carefully before making your purchase, as we do not normally give refunds if you simply change your mind or make a wrong selection.

The two lists below have been supplied by the Queensland Government’s Department of Tourism, Fair Trading and Wine Industry Development; they outline your rights to a refund:

You are entitled to return goods and ask for a refund, exchange or repair if the goods you purchased:

* Have a fault that you could not have known about at the time of purchase;

* Are not the same as the description provided by the salesperson or advertisement;

* Do not match the sample you were shown at the time of purchase; and/or

* Do not do the job as you were led to believe.

You are not entitled to a refund if you:

* Simply change your mind or no longer want the goods;

* Realise you can’t afford the goods;

* Found the same item at a cheaper price elsewhere;

* Chose the wrong size or colour;

* Knew about the particular fault prior to purchase; and/or

* Were responsible for causing the fault.

If you are entitled to a refund we may at our option, offer a refund, exchange or we may attempt to correct the problem for you.


Deposits for work to be done by us are non-refundable and non-transferrable. After paying a deposit to us we commence work that incurs costs to us.

Web hosting, domain name registrations and search engine submissions

We do not offer refunds for web hosting, domain name registration or search engine submission (SEO) work except where we have errored in the spelling of your domain name. If you supply us with incorrect spelling of your domain name we will not be liable for any loss or damages whatsoever and a no refund will be offered. It is your responsibility to ensure correct spelling of any domain names is supplied to us at time of purchase.

Website and Database Design and Programming

We do not offer refunds for website design or programming where the design proof has been accepted by you and work has continued.

Our software and software supplied by us

To help ensure that our software products are perfect for your requirements, free fully-functional trial versions of most software products are available to download from our website or the manufacturers website. Comprehensive product and service information is also available via the manufacturers website. To help you make the right decision, you can also contact a customer service representative.

If you need help using or otherwise installing software written by us, free technical support is available via email.

If you need help using or otherwise installing software written by a third party, your should refer to their website for technical support information.

Please note that after making your purchase for a software product, you may be supplied with a registration code or proof of purchase. The registration code you are supplied upon completion of your order is valid for the version of the product you elected to purchase, not necessarily the trial version you may have downloaded on a previous occasion. Registration Codes may also be time limited, limited in the number of users, limited in the number of installations, and may not include updates to later versions which will be stated at the time of purchase.

Since you may not have a physical product to return when requesting a refund for an electronic purchase, we may require you to deactivate and uninstall the product and/or sign a declaration that you will discontinue use of the product prior to completing your refund.


The information in this refund policy is subject to, and/or in addition to, any other legal rights you may have under Queensland legislation.

Please note that Dreaming Boy Technology operates a large number of websites. This refund policy applies only to Dreaming Boy Technology products and services. Products purchased from third parties may be subject to other refund policies.

Uncollected goods

The following statement has been provided by the Queensland Government Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation (Fair Trading) in relation to uncollected goods.

The Disposal of Uncollected Goods Act 1967 (Qld) covers inspection, custody, storage, repair and other treatment of goods. Under this Act, uncollected goods may be sold six months after the date on which they were ready for collection.
